In the vibrant city of Chicago, there is a compelling need to uplift and empower Youth at-risk youth who face numerous challenges in their daily lives. One non-profit organization that is making a significant impact in the community is located on the south side - they are dedicated to providing resources and support for these individuals.

This organization has a strong focus on engaging Youth at-risk in ways that go beyond traditional prevention methods. By offering a variety of programs and initiatives, they are creating opportunities for these young individuals to thrive and succeed in a positive environment. One of the key strategies employed by this organization is to provide mentorship and guidance for Youth at-risk . By connecting them with positive role models and mentors from the community, they are able to instill a sense of hope and purpose in these individuals. This mentorship not only helps them navigate through difficult circumstances but also inspires them to reach their full potential. Additionally, the organization offers a range of educational and skill-building programs to help Youth at-risk develop important life skills. From job readiness training to leadership development workshops, these programs equip young individuals with the tools they need to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. By actively involving Youth at-risk in community engagement initiatives, this organization is fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility among the youth. Through volunteering opportunities, community service projects, and events, these young individuals are able to positively contribute to their communities and build meaningful connections with others. In conclusion, the work being done by this non-profit organization in Chicago is truly transformative. By engaging Youth at-risk in holistic and empowering ways, they are helping to create a brighter future for these individuals and the community at large. It is through these efforts that we can continue to support and uplift our urban leaders of tomorrow.

*******Why We Say "Youth at Risk" Instead of "At-Risk Youth"

At Saving Our Urban Leaders Inc., we are intentional with our words because words shape perception and reality. Instead of labeling young people as "at-risk youth," we say "youth at risk."

Why? Because our youth are not the risk—they are at risk.

They are at risk of being failed by the system, at risk of violence in their communities, at risk of a lack of opportunity, and at risk of not receiving the mentorship and support they deserve.

By shifting the language, we shift the mindset. Our youth are not defined by risk. They are defined by potential. And it is our responsibility to remove those risks and equip them with the tools they need to thrive.

We believe in seeing the leadership, strength, and resilience in every young person—not their struggles, but their possibilities. That is why we stand for Youth at Risk, not At-Risk Youth.*******
